Michael Jackson

The Positive Community Magazine wishes to extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and fans of Michael Jackson. He was the kind of entertainer that comes along only once in a lifetime and he will be sorely missed.

Michael Jackson was a truly gifted musician, singer, songwriter and dancer. He was a trailblazer in the music world, who also blazed a trail for race relations in America and around the world. His music was consistently well-written and most often with an infectious beat and a positive message.

Whether he is instructing you to "Enjoy Yourself" and "live life Off the Wall" or reminding you that "You Are Not Alone" and to "Remember the Time," Michael Jackson's musical and cultural legacy will live on forever. His "Thriller" album is not only found in almost every American home, but also on the National Recording Registry of Library of Congress as a "Recording of Cultural Significance."

Jackson was not only an entertainer, but also a philanthropist and activist. He supported more than thirty (30) charities, many of which focused on and benefited the black community, including the NAACP. He also founded the Michael Jackson UNCF Endowed Scholarship Fund with $1.5 million and has helped hundreds of students attend college.
