Immigration, voting rights and gender discrimination took center stage in Manhattan at the National Action Network’s annual convention, a four-day call to action against the policies of President Trump.

Speaker after speaker pilloried the President and his leadership as Trump approaches his 100th day in office.

From tax cuts for the rich to the wave of fear for immigrants, it was open season on the White House for anyone behind a microphone at the Sheraton in Times Square.

“The question is not what he has done in the first 100 days, but what we will do in the next 100,” said National Action Network president and convention host the Rev. Al Sharpton.

“We are not here to blame. You cannot act without a plan but too many people plan and never act.”

Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder told the crowd that much is at stake in the months and years to come. He said the smokescreen of voter fraud is distracting the public from the real issue of voter suppression.

“That most basic of human rights is under siege,” Holder said. “The vote fraud mantra is said so often, it’s almost said robotically, that some people have unthinkingly come to believe that the issue is real.
