Held at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, the four-day event began with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and opening remarks by Mayor Eric Adams. The convention included workshops, panels, and plenaries on topics of interest to Black people including voting rights, immigrant rights, women’s empowerment and leadership, and diversity and media. Panels featured an array of political leaders, commentators, academics, clergy, and corporate leaders.
