The Voice of Silence Domestic Violence Conference

From Trauma To Triumph – Healing The Black Community

New Brunswick, New Jersey, October 7, 2022, Spirit of Excellence – Leadership Guidance, Inc. (SOE) to host the 2022 Voice of Silence Domestic Violence Conference, “From Trauma to Triumph – Healing the Black Community.”
The Voice of Silence Domestic Violence Conference 2022 originated out of the need to end the silencing of Black women who have experienced domestic violence. Statistics disclose that Black women experience a disproportionate amount of domestic violence resulting in death or serious injury when compared to other ethnic groups. Consider the pain and suffering victims endure when their support systems lack education or resources that adequately provide guidance, direction, or connections to community services to keep them safe.
Our goal is to enable participants to engage in communal support that encompasses advancing gender equity. We carry out this goal by creating strategic partnerships, enhancing training, and knowledge of domestic violence. We work toward breaking the silence, eradicating the stigma and shame associated with domestic violence.
The conference will convene at the New Brunswick Theological Seminary, 35 Seminary Place, New Brunswick, NJ on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The conference will feature plenary speaker, first responders panel discussions, keynote speakers and concurrent workshops. Networking opportunities available with conference participants, local clergy, community leaders, advocacy organizations and direct service providers.
