Amerigroup NJ host it’s 2nd Together Towards Tomorrow Community Partner Networking event

Amerigroup NJ hosted it’s 2nd Together Towards Tomorrow Community Partner Networking event this year at the Sheraton Hotel, Eatontown, NJ.

The event brought together over 100 Monmouth, Ocean and surrounding County community partners of various sectors including health care, schools, faith based and community based organizations, as well as organizations serving people with special needs and older adults . The purpose of this event is to build relationships and provide partnership opportunities to support and strengthen the health of the families we all service. The Keynote speaker, Mark Dinglasan, Director of the office of the Food Security Advocate, provided strong points on ways to improve the health of our community, by focusing on better health outcomes for all by providing access to healthier foods. Susan Kiley, Monmouth County Commissioner also spoke regarding the county’s food insecurities and actions being taken to provide food security to residents.

The event showcased a care bagging station that coordinated 100 Care Bags that were collected and delivered to The Jersey Shore Rescue Mission, Asbury Park NJ.

Present at the event were Amerigroup leadership, available to answer questions and speak on exciting work happening on a state level.
