The Foot Center of New York for ALL of Your Foot Health Needs
The Foot Center of New York, located in East Harlem, is the nation’s oldest facility for providing specialized medical care for the feet and ankles. Established in 1911 by a group of foot specialists who volunteered to care for the immigrants arriving in Harlem, it is the largest facility dedicated exclusively to foot care in New York City. The Foot Center of New York is the clinical teaching affiliate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, and is a major health resource for the residents of Harlem, the south Bronx and nearby communities. The Foot Center is staffed by skilled podiatrists who specialize in the care and treatment of the foot and ankle for adults and children, helping patients maintain healthy, pain-free feet and ankles. The Foot Center has a national reputation for the quality and scope of its foot health programs. Hundreds of thousands of people of all ages in the community and throughout the New York City area have benefited from the skill, dedication and quality of the care provided by our staff.
Located in the center of the diabetes epidemic, the Foot Center is dedicated to the early detection and prevention of foot problems caused by diabetes. Our skilled podiatrists and our state-of-the-art equipment allow our specialists to care for the diabetic foot and to detect and care for its complications. In addition, podiatrists may recognize the symptoms of the disease and direct a patient for further testing, in many cases when the patient is unaware they have diabetes. In caring for children, teenagers, working people and senior citizens, the Foot Center of New York demonstrates its firm commitment to serving the entire community.
