Nurses at Newark Beth Israel Celebrate Nurses Week 2020, The Year of the Nurse
Every year, the nurses at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital begin National Nurses Week by rolling out the red carpet and giving a Heroes’ welcome to every employee, and this year was no different. Nursing leaders, administrators and staff greeted every employee who came to work today with bells and whistles. It was a much needed moment of support for all of the employees.
The hospital has treated more than 800 COVID patients since the beginning of March and has discharged 489 COVID patients, to date. The number of COVID patients being treated at the hospital continues to decline.
