Sixty pianos installed on the streets of NYC

New York’s streets are about to become a lot more musical.

The arts nonprofit Sing For Hope is once again installing vibrantly designed pianos in parks and public places across the five boroughs. The 60 instruments will be on display from June 5-25, and available for anyone to play who has a few minutes to spare, and a song in their heart. Now you really have no excuse for not practicing.

This year’s class of pianos were designed by a slew of recognizable faces including Kate McKinnon, Roberta Flack, Billy the Artist, the Broadway casts of Aladdin, Beautiful, Cats, Chicago, Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, School of Rock, Waitress, and Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.
