Stressing its mission to train and equip leaders who think critically, act justly, and lead faithfully at their inaugural gala on May 18, New Brunswick Theological Seminary (NBTS) honored distinguished alumni, church, and community leaders who exemplify that mission. Two worthy recipients received the prestigious Presidential Service Award: Women of the Reformed Church in America (RCA) for five decades of ordination of elders, deacons, and ministers of Word and Sacrament; and Rev. Dr. J. Michael Sanders, senior pastor of Fountain Baptist Church in Summit, NJ and president of the General Baptist Convention of New Jersey.
The event began with worship at the campus chapel led by alumna and guest preacher Rev. Dr. Danielle Brown, senior pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church in Plainfield, NJ.
Comments by NBTS President Rev. Dr. Micah McCreary, a delicious dinner, silent auction, and interesting guests rounded out the evening on the New Jersey campus where a great time was had by all.
