Help Sandra “Sandi” Black find a match for a new kidney

She’s easy to laugh, which makes you laugh with her. Known as an “Earth Mother,” she has a naturally divine feminine disposition.
Sandra “Sandi” Black works with me at The Positive Community. Sandi is in need of a new kidney. With her graceful smile, we are hopeful that good fortune churns her way and a miracle provider gives her a new kidney to keep her smile and laugh motoring at a high volume.
I asked Sandi whether she was comfortable sharing her story to raise awareness about her need for a kidney donor. “No,” she answered. Wondering aloud if she had children who might be donors,” she answered. “No, I don’t have any children,” she said, “but, I consider myself an Earth Mother.”
Sandi said she had dreamed of having children during her marriage.. “I thought I would have had 2 or 3 kids.” However, doctors advised her not to pursue family planning because of the health risks. She later warned that pregnancy could lead to dialysis as her kidney problems progressed. Instead, she channeled her nurturing, Earth Mother energy into caring for the children around her. “I had 40 kids in a youth group in the Bronx, and in Atlanta I was a communications officer for the Boy Scout group,” Sandi said with her trademark smile.
Sandi, works in New York and New Jersey, resides in Atlanta and has a spiritual home at the famed Ebenezer Baptist Church helmed by United States Senator Rev. Raphael Warnock. Ebenezer Baptist Church earned its historic reputation as the spiritual home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. A proud alum of Cornell University, Sandi is a founder and the first president of its prestigious Cornell Black Alumni Association.
