Winter Wonderland Festival

From the outdoor speakers, holiday songs were the soundtrack in the air along with a live gospel choir singing as Santa took pictures on a reindeer sleigh float spraying bubbles in the air

Everything was free for the attendees such as food, Starbucks coffee, hot chocolate, fried oreos and zeppoles and a outdoor fire-pit for S’more making.

Countdown to the tree lighting was by Councilmember Pat Council, Mayor Baraka with support from Council President McIver, Larry Crump, Mike Silva, Loiuse Roundtree and Essex County commissioner Pres. Wayne Richardson

Over 1,000 toys were given away with others resource tables throughout Bergen Street such as Liberty Science Center with give-a-ways, covid testing, books and raffles for autographed memorabilia from the NY Giants and Jets.

There will be a follow-up to last night Winter Wonderland on 12/19/22 3x pop-up locations for the continued South Ward Holiday Toy giveaway
