HCCI Boat Ride 2026

An Evening of Fellowship, Networking and Community on the Water

HCCI brought community members, business and civic leaders, professionals, families, and supporters together for an evening of fellowship aboard their Boat Ride 2026 in New York Harbor. The event reflected HCCI’s commitment to building relationships, encouraging collaboration, and strengthening the communities it serves.

Entertainment was a major part of the evening, highlighted by a soulful live performance from acclaimed R&B singer-songwriter Eric Roberson. The celebration continued with the DJ spinning James Brown classics and vibrant soca rhythms that kept guests on the dance floor.

The evening also recognized individuals whose leadership and service have made a lasting difference. Honorees included Ashley Sharpton and Dominique Sharpton, recognized for their community and civic engagement; and Melba Wilson, the celebrated Harlem restaurateur, entrepreneur, and owner of Melba’s Restaurant.

Their recognition underscored one of the evening’s central themes: celebrating people whose work helps strengthen and uplift the community. The cruise also offered a welcome opportunity to step away from busy schedules and simply enjoy one another’s company.

Even as haze from Canadian wildfires softened the Manhattan skyline, the energy aboard the vessel remained bright and celebratory.

As the boat returned to the dock, guests left with more than photographs and memories. New contacts had been made, ideas had been shared, and relationships had been strengthened.
