Urban League R.E.D. Gala

The Urban League of Essex County’s (ULEC) premier fundraiser, the R.E.D. Gala, honors corporations and individuals whose impact advances racial equity and diversity in New Jersey. On April 25th at Nanina’s in the Park, the 2023 honorees: 32BJ-SEIU, ADP, Audible, and Jacob Walthour of Blueprint Capital Advisors, received accolades from the ULEC and warm responses from the 375 guests who collectively helped raise $300,000.

Stories recognizing the strength and resilience of community members from ULEC programs inspired guests. A live auction featuring artwork from the League’s early childhood program also helped make the night a glowing success. Under the leadership of President/CEO Vivian Cox Fraser, the agency’s expanded roster of programs drives its mission to promote economic self-sufficiency. Funds raised help the ULEC continue this most essential work.
