Essex County College’s Community Education Forum: Social Justice Symposium Special

The Rev. DeForest “Buster” Soaries, Jr. joins a distinguished panel for a Symposium on Social Justice which was moderated by host Alfred Bundy. The Symposium was part of the College’s “Inauguration Week,” culminating in the Inauguration on May 5 of Dr. Augustine A. Boakye as ECC’s 9th President.

Alfred Bundy

Alfred Bundy serves as Host and Senior Producer of the Essex County College Community Education Forum. In addition, Mr. Bundy is Executive Director for Institutional Advancement at Essex County College.

He recently held the position as the Marketing Director of the Essex County Workforce Development Board. Mr. Bundy graduated from Montclair State University with a BA degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Human Services. He is certified in Gestalt Family Therapy and holds a certificate in TV Production from Rutgers University.

He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Newark Symphony Hall and former past president of the Essex County Board of Education. He is a former Eli Lilly Foundation Fellow in Development where he was assigned for four years to the Vice President of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).

Mr. Bundy is an award winning TV Producer, best known to New Jersey audiences for his long term work on television, hosting various parades, Town Hall meetings, TV specials, election night results coverage. For nearly 26 years, he has served as the host of Altice USA’s ‘Meet the Leaders.’ He has more than 35 years of experience as an educator, radio and television personality, multimedia producer, public relations expert, and community activist.
